Alan,

Windows Update is attempting to download the iuident.cab file to the
C:\Program Files\WindowsUpdate\V4\temp directory but fails. This is
typically do to firewall or proxy blocking the download.

Verify the suggestions posted in the Windows Update Troubleshooter:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/

Select:
While the Windows Update Web site is loading, you receive Initialization
Error 0x80072F76
