Hi again.........this is just to clearify what is
happening when I click on auto updates . It goes to the
web page and I wait a second or two and then that little
window opens and says"Microsoft has encountered a problem
and needs to close" and the little box is there if you
wish to report it. That is how I got this address....they
did send email and sent me this addy to check on some
answers. Can anyone help me here, please? THANKS!!!

Hi....just wanted to add....I did go to that START-
SETTINGS etc...yes check mark is there for auto
updates...how does one know this is being done however? I
see my symantec icon popping up all the time, but cannot
recall seeing an icon for windows update. Any takers on
this one? Thanks
