how do I renoveworm? How do I get the patch to remove
worm.

Sherry --

Apparently, your computer has an unwelcome visitor (VIRUS) known
as the WM32 Blaster/Lovsan worm.

It entered your computer through your internet connection because the "firewall"
was not properly enabled and essential critical updates were not installed from
the Windows Update website. For instructions on fixing the problem, visit:

If your computer is constantly attempting to shutdown
or reboot, quickly go to:

Start > Run and type: shutdown -a , and hit enter.

This should halt the rebooting problem.

Then immediately turn-on Windows XP's built-in Firewall:

In addition to the helpful links to tools at Technet Security--for those
whose computers are counting down before they have a chance in Windows to
get to the sites for the removal tools you can stop the countdown cold this
way:

Tip from Tech TV Producer David Prager from TSS Site:

Go to a command prompt and type "shutdown -a" and lose the quotes; space
after shutdown. Won't work in the run box but either typing "command" or
"cmd" in the run box will get you to the appropriate command line.

In addition to the Technet Microsoft Security link, see these for help and
context:
