Check your firewall settings. Uninstall Kazaa. Delete WUPDATER.EXE.

going on with my computer for about a week now, with
little time to troubleshoot. I noticed:
- On shutdown, wupdater.exe process was "hung" and I had
to "end now" to shut the computer down,
- The computer was locking up in internet explorer
mostly, but other applications such as Outlook as well.

I ran the fix listed on the second URL you have listed,
and it worked FANTASTICALLY well!
Thanks again!
