I have downloaded twice, and tried 3 times, unsuccessfully, to install the
following:
821557 (Security Update WindowXP) 5.1MB
The install bar shows 3 tiles complete when the caution flag (!) pops up and
says:
"! Windlows - Delayed Write Failed
Windows was unable to save all the data for the file
E:\f84716ef73301ac31c\sp1\shell32.dll. The data has been lost. This error
may be caused by a failure of your computer hardware or network connection.
Please try to save this file elsewhere."
I have installed Critical up-dates successfully in the past, so this is a
first for me. My questions are:
1. How do I get this to install,
2. Why is it referring to my E drive and not my C drive,
3. How the heck do I get this download to install ELSEWHERE,
4. Where on my computer did the download go?
5. Now I have the dang reminder popping up telling me to install.
I'm now afraid to re-start my computer to see what happens, if anything.
