- XP pro not running my JVC video camera
- Posted by Glenn Bronson on August 14th, 2003
My JVC GR-DVM50 video camera, which is about 4 years old,
won't run properly with video-editing software connected
from the camera's DV port to a 1394 firewire card.
Sometimes Windows recognizes the camera briefly, other
times it sees it as unknown A/V device, other times it
doesnt see it all. On a few occasions my programs can
control the camera, but after just a few minutes the
system hangs or the control is lost. Is there a patch for
this problem? I saw one for a Panasonic with a similar
issue, but that one didn't help.

There is no patch on Windows Update for this, however JVC may have one... It
is worth checking their web site.
