I have been trying to update to xp but before I can I am
suppose to uninstall microsoft shared fax client. I
cannot find any such thing on my computer. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try the following:
- Click Start->Control Panel->Software->Windows
Components add/remove (or something like that)
An Assistent will open...
There you can see all the Windows Components (e.g.
Internet Explorer; MSN Explorer, Fax Services...)

I'm sorry about "or something like that"...becouse I have
the german version of Windows XP Home Edition SP-1...

folder "Windows" double click on it look for
folder "Shared files" double click to open look for any
thing with fax shareing, client, ect. Right click on it
and click on delete.. that should solve your prob. gentle
