This question was probably addressed, so I apologize, but
reading through the past 7 pages of messages has got me
dizzy because I'm not sure which pertains to my problem
and which doesn't.

I've been updating regularly for over a year and suddenly
now (my last update was Aug. 11) the updates fail after I
click on license agreement. It starts to download then
the window disappears and on the browser I get "no updates
were installed". I've tried over and over.. disabled
Norton's.. disabled firewalls.

I was forced to go to Microsoft's website and manually
download a couple of the critical updates, but I can't see
myself doing this regularly.

Please help.. and also explain why this happened?

Have you gotten a reply to yur post? I have the same
problem.

No *sad*, no reply!! Please let me know if you find a

answer, I will certainly come back to this post and let
you know!!

Isn't it odd that these problems seemed to start around
the time of that Blaster worm? I didn't get the worm, tho.

Another possibly related problem I now have since that
time is in WinMx, no one can download from me unless I
turn off the firewall, altho I can download from others
even with the firewall enabled. Mysteries!
