My administrator rights have dissapeared. I Never set up my computer for
Users but I did not have any problems until recently. Now I can not use
msconfig or change anything on my computer. I always get the message to log
on again as an administator. Also I can not install two new programs. I get
the message "__is*.tmp has encountered a problem and needs to close". Could
this be because I no longer have administrator rights? There are NO viruses,
Worms, or any other type of problems on my computer. In short my computer is
clean and well maintained.
Can I reinstall Windows XP to correct this problem even thou I have also
installed the service pack? If I reinstall windows will I then be able to set
up the users for myself and others? Will this fix my problems? If I do
reinstall Windows will I lose any of my information?
I hope I have explained my problems clearly and on the correct message board.
