Boot & Startup

I have XP Pro. Is there a means to modify the Start Process? Problem... I
use MSN Messenger... MSN starts before Internet connection occurs and so the
auto feature does not operate... Is there a way to modify the Start Process
to have the Internet connect before any programs begin to load?
Thanks

Had a problem with this myself so....

I wrote myself a little utility called startDelay which runs at startup.
It then waits a number of seconds and launches a program.
Using it for MSN and Yahoo Messenger - as you say they (sometimes) try to
auto connect before any connection is established much of the time.

If you want to try startDelay then you can get it from my webspace:
http://www.warwound.dsl.pipex.com/files/startDelay.rar

It's a 174KB RAR archive - check the ReadMe.txt file for usage instructions.

Martin.

You can program MSN messenger not to start at boot.
Sign in/tools/options/on the left side/ general and click on not to start
automatically.
