- Bootable MS ASR Backup without floppy drive?
- Posted by Xenophile on January 25th, 2006
It makes no sense to me that I cannot back up my entire system without an
obsolescent 3.5" floppy drive -- as required by the MS Backup program. Is it
not possible to store the backup tracks on a USB? Can't I tell my BIOS to
boot from the USB or from a CD?

You can back-up your system, but since you do not have a floppy, you will
need to use a 3rd party program instead of ASR.
