- BSOD: xD3 using Hyperthreading (sysaudio.sys, swmidiy.sys)
- Posted by hp on November 18th, 2005
Well,
The system:
- using xp sp2 with all update
- NO memory problems (while checked this
- Intel p4 with 800 fsb 478 socket
- file system checked
The problem on same machine:
Job 1: While installing the new Nero 7.0.1.2 (typical settings) and
get a xD3 BSOD on swmidi.sys. Then uninstalled Nero while not
completed...
Job 2: While installing the new Nero 7.0.1.2 (typical settings) and
get a xD3 BSOD on sysaudio.sys. Then uninstalled Nero while not
completed...
THEN switched off the hyperthreading on the main board
Job 3: Installation went successfully!
is there any know issues installing in SW in hyperthreading mode while
the target BSOD's where MS system drivers!
cheers
