for some reason my cd/burner won't read discs or burn them...it just
says put a writeable disc in when burning(brand new discs) and when I
try and load games it says error so it obviously isn't reading them..
the computer is less than a year old.. compaq presario HELP please!!!!

Hi,
Compaq Presario less than a year old is probably still under warranty.
Contact HP Customer Care here:

Support is available with HP, even if it is not still under warranty.
