- chkdsk c: /f is automatically cancelled on the next boot
- Posted by Craig on June 20th, 2008
I run a chkntfs c: and get a message saying the drive is dirty and to
schecule a chkdsk. So I do a "chkdsk c: /f" and on the next boot, when the
chkdsk screen comes up, which normally says "press any key to cancel", it
says that the disk cleaning has been cancelled and I have not done anything
to cancel it. So my chkdsk does not run.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Craig

Craig
Have you recently run a third party disk checking utility?
Run Disk CleanUp before trying to run chkdsk again?

Hope this helps.
