Computer will not boot Boot sector is missing

I went to install Norton System works 2006 I decided midway thru the
install to stop it. It stopped and my computer seemed normal at first.
then I rebooted and windows lost my boot config. I can boot now with the
NOrton disk but this does me no good. I triedto go through windows XP disk
but xp does not reconize my disk.
this is a 160 meg disk with three partititions Help
