Deleting Yahoo as my default home page
Posted by SysAssist on January 18th, 2006

I cannot keep Yahoo from overriding my selection for a default home
page in Internet Explorer. Everytime I go to Tools > Internet Options
and enter a new URL for the home page or choose select Current for my
new home browser page, yahoo keeps showing up.

How can I rid my Internet Explorer of Yahoo as a default browser home
page?

Thanks.

Probably you have to uninstall yahoo messenger or other crap yahoo installed
along with it. If you don't want to uninstall it then find it somewhere in
the settings of Yahoo application to stop reassigning homepage.

Check to see if any security software you have installed on
your system locks down Internet Explorer settings. Programs
such as AdAware, Spybot S & D and Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta
have such a feature.

Good luck
