- Disk Cleanup (ClLEANMGR): Problem with Settings ?
- Posted by Youka on February 24th, 2008
I've setup "CLEANMGR /sageset:1" with my Disk Cleanup utility choices.
However, when I run "CLEANMGR /sagerun1" , it doesn't appear as though all
of my selections are being processed, based upon the "Cleaning" message that
appears at the bottom of the "Disk Cleanup" window.
For example, even though I checked off "Old Chkdsk files", no "Cleaning:
Old Chkdsk Files" message is ever displayed/flashed across the bottom of the
window.
Do I need to think about reinstalling/restoring my Disk Cleanup utility?
Also, I noticed that my "CLEANMGR /sageset:1" choices do not sync up with
what is displayed when I access my Disk Cleanup utility via "My Computer"

What am I missing here?

I have used /sageset:100 and use /sagerun:100 in a shortcut on the taskbar.
%windir%\system32\cleanmgr.exe /sagerun:100

Thanks, Eric. But that was just a typo in my post. Sorry!
I can run "CLEANMGR /sagerun:1" , but it just doesn't appear as though all
of my drive cleanup selections are being processed.
To put it another way:
1) I don't understand why the options I've specified via "CLEANMGR
/sageset:1" don't seem to be processed (e.g., there's no "Cleaning: Old
Chkdsk Files" message displayed) when I run "CLEANMGR /sagerun:1" and
2) Why is it that the drive cleanup options I've specified via "CLEANMGR
/sageset:1" (such as "Old Chkdsk files") aren't shown when I run
