disk defragmenter

when i try to run disk defragmenter, I get a messages saying that windows
needs to search the webb to find what file created it. I have no idea what
to do. Please help. I run windows xp with service pack 2. The company i
bought the computer from did not give me a windows boot disk.

First run diskclean up utility,then go to run,type:cmd In cmd typeefrag C:
Defrag should run,once thru,install xp cd,exit the menu page,back in cmd
type:Sfc /Scannow When its thru(12-15 min),type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to
restart,type:EXIT Remove xp cd,restart computer.

Alternately, to launch Disk Defragmenter UI, type this in Start, Run:

mmc %windir%\system32\dfrg.msc
