- Editing Msgina.dll - Changing XP Logon Background
- Posted by timB on January 11th, 2006
Hi,
I am trying to modify the background that appears immediatelly after a user
enters their user credentials (Using Windows XP Professional SP2 logging into
a 2003 Domain) before their desktop background is displayed. I have modified
the following registry key, although this only works briefly:
Hive: HKEY_USERS
Key: Default\Control Panel\Desktop
Name: Wallpaper
Data Type: REG_SZ
Value: Full path to the bitmap
Is this possible? I have tried editing Msgina.dll however I can not find
where I can change the Logon background. Any help would be much appreciated.
