- Eliminating a Boot option Menu
- Posted by Alan on October 25th, 2005
I recently used F8 to use the startup menu. Now, whenever I power on, I get
a Real Mode (black & white) menu which asks me: Boot from CD ROM or Boot
from Hard Drive?
How can I get rid of this text menu? Thanks anyone.

Change the boot order in cmos setup back to start from hard disk as first
option.

Dave;
That should not be necessary.
Simply removing the bootable CD will stop that screen from coming up.

Alan;
A bootable CD in the drive will cause that screen to come up if CD drive is
in the boot sequence before the hard drive.
Simply remove the CD.
