You could disable unnecessary items from loading at startup, the
firewall and antivirus are needed, rest you cud check up on the net and
then disable. Run thorough scans for spyware. RUn a disk cleanup and
defragment the HDD. This will help improve performance. Also is it due
to insufficient RAM? checked your fans and whether its a heat issue?
