Hi,

When i type any alphabet into my IE address bar i get a list of my
favourites.WHY??
I did save a copy of my favourites on another partition and then copy and
pasted them to the favourites folder on C drive after reinstalling
WinXP.Could that be the cause ?? I cant remember when this didnt happen as
its been a long time since this started happening,but it is annoying.

Can anyone solve this problem ?

You might have some corruption somewhere. Copying favorites from the favs
folder to another partition wont cause any problems I do it myself. Have you
tried clearing out the address bar stored data? There are different ways to
do it. I dont know if clearing the auto complete clear forms in control
panel | internet options | clear forms will clear them out. If not open
regedit go to HKCU\software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs and delete
all except default. Close all open IE windows first.

I would also clear out tempory internet files as well in internet options.
Clear all offline data as well. You should also delete history as well as
its hard to know where the problem lies.

Repost if it works.
