flash8 and yahoo

In order for me to chat on Yahoo I have to unregister flash8.ocx. Otherwise
I get the "Yahoo has encountered a problem and needs to close" error.
Any similiar problems? Fixes?

Hi!

Uninstall your YM, delete the said file and re-install from a new
version of YM.

That should work.

Thanks for reply.

Tried sevral time reinstalling Yahoo. Flash8 is a macromedia flash player
driver, seperate, but, used by Yahoo chat. I overclock my CPU and have
recently done some changes and am hoping this will end the error with
flash8.ocx.

In my opinion the Flash driver (flash8.ocx) addresses the memory in kernel
mode with questionable permissions ( only @ 2400MHz and above). Don't know
why this is and am not too worried since it is the only real problem I am
having currently with with clock speeds above 2400MHz (with a CPU designed
for 1800MHz)
