- "History" not working

When I open Favorites and click on "history" no history shows.
When I click on the option button beside history ("sort by date"/ "today"/
etc) all that shows is "search history" and when I click on that it just
disappears.
I'm wondering if I've done something unknowingly...and can I reverse it?
