Every once in a while I connect a portable disk drive via usb or mount a
true crypt volume and XP will turn around a create a restore point on this
drive. Is there anyway to tell windows to stop adding drives? I don't mind
my drive C:, but it gets old when every time I mount a drive temporarily and
it wants to create a restore point. This is particularly irritating when
you go to remove the thumb drive or disconnect a mounted drive and are
unable to because it's in use.
Again, I know to to remove the check mark on the drive under the system
icon. I simply want windows to leave them alone in the first place.
Is there anybody who can help me with this or offer any magic hacks?
Thanks!!!
Ken
