I've lost my short cut to Internet Explorer
Posted by my_realtor on January 22nd, 2006

For some reason the icon on my desktop to Internet Explorer is gone. The
only way I can open Internet Explorer is to go to my email and click on a
message with a link to a page. I tried to creat a shortcut through my control
panel but that just creates a shortcut to the 'options'. I can't seem to open
Internet Explorer from there. I don't know what to do to get Internet
Explorer back.
Please help. Thanks

Right-click on the background (where there is no icons.)
Choose "Properties".
Look under the "Desktop" tab.
Click on the "Customize Desktop" button at the bottom of the window.
Under the "General" tab, make sure Internet Explorer is checked.

(If it is.. Uncheck, "OK" your way out, go back in and recheck it.)
