Local Area Connection
Posted by therapy3 on May 6th, 2006

I keep having this Local Area Network bubble popping up with a X in a box.
and then says A network cable is unplugged. And if I hit the arrow at the
bottom right of my screen next to my time, there are about 400 of the little
twin monitors with the X at the bottom of them. What do I do to get rid of
them?

Sounds like you may have more than one connection running at the same time.
Did you recently change providers? Try opening the CONTROL PANEL select
NETWORK CONNECTIONS. Does it show two? If you know which one you are using,
right click on the one you are NOT using and select DISABLE. Hope this helps.
