- no sound on my Dell Inspiron 600M
- Posted by Nauda1n on March 9th, 2006
In testing several external speakers, I accidentally inserted the plug of one
set of speakers into the laptop's microphone jack OR something went wrong
when I inserted the same plug into the headphones jack. At any rate, the
laptop's internal speakers no longer work, even after checking the drivers,
sound levels, etc. Could I have fried something on the motherboard or created
some other kind of problem that has killed the sound? If so, what are my
potential remedies?
