- NTBackup shortcut missing from CP
- Posted by Peter on November 17th, 2005
I installed NTBackup utility and the shortcut was in the CP/Performance &
Maintenance, but for some reason it has disappeared...anyone know why - any
way to put it back in there?
I still have access through Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools.

Hi
Did you try System Restore to see if the shortcut appears back in
CP/Performance & Maintanance?

Hi
You could always create a shortcut on your Windows Desktop of the NTBackup.
Go to Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools then Right mouse click to
get a menu and move the mouse point to Send To and scroll down to
Desktop(create shortcut). Then you should see the NTBackup icon on your
Windows XP desktop.
Hope this helps.

Do System Restore and restore it to the time before the shortcut disappeared
from the CP/Performance & Maintanance.

Also you could try uninstalling NTBackup and reinstalling NTBackup from the
Windows XP CD and that should fix it.

Thanks for the advice. I had SR turned off for other reasons. Never
thought of uninstalling/reinstalling (DUH) thanks ;-)
