I am using a dell deminsions with XP. My software has become corrupted and I
need to repair it using the reinstallation disc. I was told I needed to
delete the SP2 update in order to do this. I did that. Upon trying to usr
the reinstallation disc to repair my system it ask for my 25 digit product
code. Upon entering this code it tells me it is an invalid code. It is the
same code I got when I puchased the system. Can anyone tell me why this is
happening. Thank you very much. James Morgan

If it was the same code as before it will work now as it did then as long as
you are using the correct CD.
Are you using the same CD as before?
Look very closely.
S=5, O-0, B-8, l-1 and others look alike.
Have someone else try, sometimes another set of eyes and fingers can get it
right.

Yes, it is the same disc, and yes, I did have other eyes look at it. Thanks

Did you change any components in the computer, especially the
motherboard? That might explain this behavior.
Good luck
