Partioning software - freeware
Posted by Aussie Fran... on October 15th, 2005

Is there a reliable freeware software utility that will enable me to
partition my hard drive? I have 40g C: (small I know, but I run a 200g
portable external drive which I transport to University and back).

I wish to separate constant programs from changeable data (eg e-mail, clips
etc) and use "Deep Freeze" on my C:, which reboots to restored state each
time (hence my need for the partition for changeable files.

I'm a University student living on lots of noodles.

Suggestions?...

Try Bootit NG, www.bootitng.com -- 30-days fully
functional shareware.

To get it click on the Download Option ( as distinct from Purchase
Option).

Hope this helps.

Well, seeing as you're a student...

Ranish Partition Manager:
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/ranish.html

Not only is it reliable and free it's also got a high learning curve
attached to it which is sure to stimulate you whilst you wait for the water
to heat for the noodles.

Additionally: Get a bowl with a cover or at least a plate that will go over
the bowl. Smash up a couple of those bags of instant noodles. Put them and
the flavor packets into the bowl. Heat water enough to barely cover the tops
of the noodles. Add water to bowl. Cover bowl and let sit for five (or more)
minutes. Remove cover, stir, eat... If you're rich that week you can get
some cheese to add to it too!

Cheese!!! What a fabulous idea - I'll see how the budget pans out next
month. :-)
Oh, and thanks for the partition help, too.
