- Performance Monitor.
- Posted by Matt Carter on January 6th, 2006
I was asked to run a Performance profile on a couple of our design machines
(high end workstations) that they are running system intensive applications
on.
My manager said he was most interested in the processor utilization and
memory including physical and virtual.
I am uncertain which options to choose, there are SO many. I chose them ALL
and there are a MILLION colors on the monitor.
I also don't know how to "read" this information. There are values to 100
and I don't now if I want them to be at 0 or 50 or 100.
What am I looking for and how do I know what it "means."
They have a P4 3.0GHz with Hyper Threading system with 1GB RAM and a SCSI
hard drive. I know they should be reaching 3.0GHz and less than 1GB RAM but
I don't know what the values mean.
