- Person-handling Prefetch
- Posted by Visum on January 19th, 2006
I am somewhat familiar with the regedit config of prefetch options, but I
was wondering if there was a way to list specific apps XP could prefetch,
whilst limiting XP prefetching others. Say, allow XP to prefetch Boot
sequence, Word, Excel, Visio (used multiple times per day), but not
Publisher or Access (rarely used), as an example?
Regedit options:
a.. 0-Disable
b.. 1-Application Launch Prefetch
c.. 2-Boot Prefetch
d.. 3-Prefetch everything

No. This is a system-wide setting and it cannot be adjusted
differently for the users.
