I am having the same exact problem as the guy who first posted this
message. What ever you told him, that seemed to help him, I did not
understand it. Does anyone have any ideas how I fix this problem?
Starting with the least drastic measure I can try? I consider having to
re-install Windows XP drastic. Anyway, I would really appreciate
anyone's informed suggestions.
Here is the guy's original post so you have an idea of my problem. They
sound pretty much identical.
"All Windows XP experts
I need your guidance for the following problem:
When I recently tried to connect to my dial up internet connection,
the
screen went blue with the following message:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent
damage
to your computer. The problem seems to be caused by the following
file;
Intelc52.sys
PAGE-FAULT-NONPAGED-AREA
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart
your
computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed.
If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software
manufacturer
for any Windows update you might need.
If the problem continues, disable or remove any newly installed hard
ware or
soft ware. disable BIOS memory optiions such as caching or shadowing.
If you
need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your
computer
, press F8 to select Advanced Start Up options and then select Safe
Mode.
Beginning dump of memory
Physical memory dump complete
contact your system administrator or technical support group for
further
assistance.
This is the end of the message.
I do not have any new hardware or software, system restore does not
work and
the dell diagnostics disk shows every thing as normal. Please can any
one
help me?.
