I'm having exactly the same problem.
same Maxstor 120 gb 6YL120L0 drive same problem the Nero reporting too slow
to burn DVDs. SiSoft Sandra reports writes at 4-5Mb/s!!!!
I contacted Maxstor and they suggested running their PowerMax utility in
the Burn in test mode. I tried that and the drive passed ok! The only other
suggestion the had was to use PowerMax to do a 'Full Option of Low Level
Format' I hav'nt tried that as I don't want to lose my system.
Can anyone suggest a solution Please.
