get the slider to adjust less than 5% (the lowest it used to go before it
bounced back up to 5%).
First, make sure the Low Battery alarm is higher than the Critical Battery
alarm.
Click the slider (whichever alarm you wish to adjust) ONCE, so that it is
selected (has the rectangle around it).
Next, use your left or right arrow keys to move the slider to the desired
power percentage (it's going to adjust VERY fast, but you can use your
Keyboard, Repeat Rate option in Control Panel to slow it down).
To stop it at the desired alarm setting, QUICKLY hit the Tab key while
you're holding the arrow key. This will cause the slider to 'freeze in its
tracks', and you can now use the mouse to click the Apply button. Your
settings is set.
I also have the same Alarm Warning message problem that you have, but I have
only found a half-way solution to that problem. At first I didn't get no
warning message, but now I manage to get a single beep and a small
exclamation icon on my task bar. But I have found that if you don't use a
User Account Profile on your computer, a big warning dialog box will pop up
alerting you to a low/critical battery. But I uses a User Account when i
starts Windows, so I just deals with the little exclamation icon warning on
my taskbar (which i barely ever notices half the time, until its too late.)
If I find a solution for this, I'll let you know.
