Registry Cleaner?????
Posted by PattiChati on October 6th, 2005

I have been having problems with websites and mail opening slowly. Looking
in google for answers, they suggest a registry cleaner. I don't think I
have one of those in any of the virus/spyware programs I have.
Would you suggest getting one of these, would it help and which one should I
get.
As I have said in past posts, I have run all the spyware and virus programs.
Pentium 4; 1 gb of ram

You do not need a registry cleaner for Windows XP.
However, you may wish to try the 30-day trial version
of System Mechanic.

Try the following recommended maintenance first:

You have 100,000 and up registry keys (Audigy 2ZS plus its apps write some
10,000 keys, for ex).
You can go here http://www.macecraft.com/regsupremepro/ and try their
registry tool.

A Registry Cleaner will not help you. What may help is CCleaner or Disk
Cleaner, both freeware. Google for download sites.
