- Resizing partitions
- Posted by Hans L on December 20th, 2007
Hello:
I have Win XP Home, and I partitioned my hard drive using the XP
partitioning function (I don't remember, at the moment, where I can access
it, but that is secondary). However, I now need to add more space to my C
dirve. I have partitions C – G, and can "steal" space from any of them, but
I may also want to change the spaces of all partitions.
Before I do something foolish, may I ask if it is possible to (reaonably)
safely resize all partitions. I do make a nightly drive image, so I have
reasonable backup.
Regards,
Hans L

You can safely resize partitions but you'll need third-party software.
Acronis Disk Director and Norton Partition Magic are two programs to
consider.

Leonard, I have Partition Magic 8, so I will use it.
Thank you for your response!
