- Posted by H-H on February 20th, 2006
I got my Hp Pavilon 753n about three years ago and It was working great. I
was lasy and did not purchase any anti-viral siftware or firewall utilities
and I then had to format my hard drive becasue I couldnt even access the
internet. Then I finally got zone alarm fire wall and avast. Then I got this
blue screen saying It was begining physical Memory dump. So I then I had to
refomat my hard drive again. I then purchased Norton antivirus and took out
zone alarm and got SYgate fire wall. I was finnaly able to access the
internet. But my download speed is slow it starts off at like 47-120kb/s then
in a matter of seconds decreases to about 14.1-16 kb/s.
And Im not 100% sure what procceses I should have and which ones I should not.
Thanks for your help in advanced.
I have Windows Xp Home
cable modem: speed 100.0mbps
Internet Explorer v6.00
Penium 4 CPU 2.53GHz
512 MB of Ram

I would suggest you try cCleaner.
http://www.ccleaner.com/ccdownload.asp
http://www.ccleaner.com/
With any cleaner you need to proceed with caution. I invariably
recommend creating a restore point before using cCleaner.
cCleaner also offers backup before removal.
When using cCleaner think twice before checking before
Autocomplete Form History under Internet Explorer.
You do get a warning but this one has irritating consequences.

Hope this helps.
