Suspected Junk Files ???? In WIN XP and WORD 2003 ?
Posted by ritter197 on December 14th, 2005

I get since a few days incoming mail (via Mailwasher) and when I process to
Word 2003 I do not see them in the Inbox.

Checking further I find that under the Deleted items there is all of a
sudden a subcategory called "suspected junkmail" and there is where the
messages went, incorrectly.

How did this happen? Is it a download and upgrade from windows or word?

I also use XP and Word 2003, but do not suffer your problem..

It is interesting how people immediately assume that Microsoft is the
culprit when they have third party software installed. Check your Mailwasher
settings http://www.mailwasher.net/faq.php

Isn't it an error in Mailwasher? After all, that is the program which is
downloading the messages (and then sending them to Word).

I looked again very carefully in Mailwasher and its subcategories and see
nothing that would account for this.
Also, there is no category of Deleted and then a subcategory of Suspected
Junkmail, that is in MSOffice 2003!

So, I am still puzzled especially since I have used Mailwasher for years and
never had this problem.

Did you just now install Office, or are you now using Outlook for your
email? If so, go to Tools and disable the Junk mail tool. If that clears up
the problem, the problem is caused by Outlook's tool. It is generally not a
good idea to run two junk mail programs.

Thanks a lot. I think that does it. It was in MS Word all the time then.
Appreciate the reply even though I have absolutely no idea how it got turned
on there, since I am the only computer user in this house.
