System Restore & domain Administrator
Posted by Lacy on December 23rd, 2005

I run XP Pro on a home computer I've had for several yrs. I mainly use it
for internet use. & I don't know hardly anything about computers.
My problem is that I recently tried to use my SYSTEM RESTORE & a pop up
window came up saying< system restore has been turned off by group policy. To
turn on contact domain administrator>
I have 3 users accounts all set up as administrator accounts.
I don't remember being ask to setting up any kind of domain account or
group policy.
Now what do I have to do to get my SYSTEM RESTORE back?
Thanks in advance, Lacy

Hi Lacy,

Using the link below, you will find a solution to the group policy
message. There's a good chance this was caused by virus/spyware
infection. Follow the links on the page to scan and remove any
infections that may exist.
