System32 page on restart.
Posted by Steve H. on April 3rd, 2006

Each time my PC restarts the system32 page appears. Checked my Regedit for (
" )
but found no problems.
Microsoft page for this offers no other solutions.
Any help appreciated.

Tried the fix but it's telling me "The script cannot repair your issue. The
expected Registry value was not found".
Thanks for any help.

If you get this message...
[[This script cannot repair your issue. The expected Registry value was not
found.]]

Kelly's script looks for SB Audigy 2 Startup Menu value in
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
This is a real common problem with Dell machines that have an OEM version of
the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound card. But it isn't the only thing that
causes the System32 folder to open at startup.

See the second link that Carey posted.

Did not help. Tried searching for more info on this, but could not find
anything else. Still looking for other things to try. Any info appreciated.
Thanks.

You probably have a path to a program with a space that does not have quote
marks around the whole path.

Paste the following line in Start | Run and click OK...

msinfo32 /categories +SWEnvStartupPrograms /report
"%userprofile%\desktop\msinfosp.txt"

Locate msinfosp.txt on your Desktop, open it and scroll down to [Startup
Programs].

Copy the Startup Programs contents of msinfosp.txt and post back.
