Task Manager is not displaying correctly
Posted by Heliospanu on February 5th, 2006

The peak of Commit Charge in Task Manager does not go below 432000

I have 2 computers with this problem and this happens when NVIDIA display
adapters have been installed on fresh installation with SP2, and Windows
Updates (Jan. 2006 (the updates where manually installed by batching)).

Both systems have the same amounts of RAM, 1GB
1. Geforce FX5200 with Forceware 81.98 (the driver in SP2 worked fine)
1. Geforce 6600GT with shiped NVIDIA drivers (summer of 2005)

Can this be corrected?

[[Commit Charge: Peak
The maximum amount of virtual memory, in kilobytes, used in the session.]]

Peak is the highest value hit. Peak isn't going to show any value that is
lower. The only way the Peak value is going to change is if it hits a
higher value.

I'm sorry!
The displayed peak is the same in each session (restarting does'nt
change“the value of 432000).
