task manager problem
Posted by choklitlove on November 19th, 2005

when i press ctrl+alt+delete, nothing happens. i've heard of the task
manager deleting viruses, but i've found the actual .exe in F:/WINDOWS/ and
nothing happens when i double click on that either. i've tried the
"taskmgr.exe /REVERT" command in the run tool, but a box comes up that says
"Another program is currently using this file." there aren't any programs
running, and the hidden ones are hard to find because i can't use task
manager. i've also tried doug knox's tool at
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_taskmgrenab.htm. this doesn't work
either, i think because it tries to install to the "C" drive, but my hard
drive is named "F". this is very annoying.

can anyone help?

Hi,
I have assigned a password and set up the maintenance. How do I get the
disk cleanup to finish it's task. It gets me to the box with all the
information of what I can clean up, but I have to be present to push "OK" for
it to continue. Can this be automatic?
