- Task scheduler not working
- Posted by vj1 on November 3rd, 2005
Hi,
I get an error message each time I go to Start my Task Scheduler. The error
message is "Could not start the Task Scheduler service on Local Computer.
Error 1717: The interface is unknown". How can I fix this and be able to
Start my Task Scheduler?

Go to Start > Run and type: MSCONFIG , and hit enter.
Under the General tab, check "Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services",
click "apply" and reboot.

Thank you Carey for the most wonderful, concise suggestion. It worked like a
