Taskbar colour

My Taskbar keeps changing colour from bright blue to a dull grey or silver.
I would like it to stay blue. Can anyone help please?

somebody keeps changing it!

go to the control panel display settings and go to the appearance tab. then
set it to windows xp default style and colour scheme 'blue'.

Are the leads to the monitor properly in place both ends?

In addition - are there any errors in the event viewer about the themes
service stopping MAYBE? That's about all I can think of that's not already
listed in the other responses.

Start
Run
Type "eventvwr.msc" without the quotes
Hit enter
Look under the System errors
