- virtual memory

I have recently been getting messages down in the tray saying that my virtual
memory is too low and that windows is increasing it. But I keep getting the
message and I am assuming it hasn't increased. I have nothing stored on this
computer because I recently got a virus and had to do a whole system restore

Since viruses and other malware are typical causes for a low memory
warnings, I would say that your computer is still infected.
Try these:
Symantec Online Virus and Security Check

Trend Micro Housecall

How much RAM memory? How large is your hard disk and how much free
space? Is it partitioned?
What programme are you running when the memory is too low message
appears?
Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to bring Task Manager and select the Performance
Tab. What is the Commit Charge? What was the Peak?
Hope this helps.
