- When are roaming profiles saved to the server
- Posted by SCC on March 25th, 2008
How often during a user's Windows session are roaming profiles saved. I know
the profile is copied back to the server at log off. Are any files copied to
the server during before then? I've had a question as to if the roaming
profile is communicating to the server while the user is working.

Ither than flder redirection (like redirecting the My Documents folder to
some network location, etc) - a romaing profile is copied from the server to
the local machine at logon and copied back to the server at logoff. That's
it.
Thus - you should keep the amount of data small (for the roaming profile)
using folder redirection and group policies to determine what is not
included in the copying processes.
