- windows update does not work - please help!!!

On my windows xp media center laptop, when I run Windows update, I get this
strange message

Any ideas???

Are you running Windows 98?
I see you are using Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.3790.2992

No I'm using windows xp media center edition. It's clearly mentioned in the

How I know your browser is Version Microsoft MimeOLE V6.00.3790.2992. That's
easy because I can see inside your system and have taken all your
files...VBG, just kidding. Right click on my reply and choose Properties
then click the Details tab.
