WMI CPU usage
Posted by Angus Kelsey on April 6th, 2006

When I turn on my computer, I find that the process
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe
is using up 100% of the CPU, and the computer is very slow. The problem can
be temporarily fixed by restarting the service Windows Management
Instrumentation, however I am looking for a permanent fix to the problem. In
the meantime, how do I create a batch file that automatically restarts the
service and can be put it in the startup folder?

My laptop is an Asus A6K with 512mb Ram and an AMD Turion64 MT30
